I'm a Cowboy

I thought was the funnest thing- We have had a cheap dollar store cowboy hat floating around our house for a few years now. Well Addison found it and had to wear it while she was going to the bathroom. While sitting on the pot she would say "I'm a cowboy" in a really ruff voice. it was so funny I kept making her say it. Well after getting done with her business I grabbed the camera to take a video, and by that time Trent told her she was not a cowboy. So it took a little bit of bribing to get this out of her.

Stepping up to a Challange

I was not in the same room when this whole challenge went down, but Trent and Ethan must have been pretty bored. Trent challenged Ethan to run around the tree in our front yard- barefoot. I wonder if Trent just wanted to know if he would do it or not and I think of course he is going to do it you are his hero. So here is Ethan stepping up to his challenge.

After I saw the video I told Trent that he should do the same challenge- to make things "fair" and so this is Trent and Addison stepping up to the challenge.

Ethan's 5th birthday

I know that this is a little after the fact, his birthday was on December 8th,
but I still really want to post about my BIG little man, Ethan Ethan is definitely a natural leader. I constantly tell him that he needs to always be a good example to those around him because if he does it then those around him will follow him- Not only does Addison copy him in everything he does many of the kids a preschool watch him and follow him. I am always surprised at the amount of energy that Ethan has. He can go and go and then still want to go some more. This has been hard for us right now, because I am constantly tired and he wants someone to play with, or go outside or play a game or do a "cool craft project" Sometimes I feel like I cant keep up with him. Here we are enjoying Ethan birthday cake that he helped to make. The picture below of the whole cake with the piece missing is the piece that he wanted, a piece from the middle- can you blame him?
I want Ethan to know that he is such a great big brother and son and in the recent weeks has really stepped up and helped me out with so many things. He is so good at cleaning up after a meal, making his bed, writing his name, sounding out words, entertaining us, loving for those around him and so much more.
It is hard for me to think that I have a 5 year old but at the same time I love it.

The love of a TuTu

My mom got a wonderful idea from my sister-in-law Carolynn, it was how to make these cute little Tutus. My mom not only made one for Addison but for my friend, Meaghan's two daughters as well. I think that they turned out very cute.
Addison can often be found dancing around in her tutu. She has also slept in it. Ethan has wore it on his head, so has Dad. I love that it entertains Addison. I guess you could say that they whole family just loves the tutu. Thanks so much mom! I think that I am going to make a tiny one for Milton, what do you think?

That tickels

For the past day Addison has found it hard to make it to the bathroom, so we have had several accidents. As Trent and I were talk about what we could do we remembered how we use to clean Ethan up in the bathtub with cool water so we were going to try this with Addison. Well she had her second accident today while we were a Ethan school to pick him up, as soon as we got home she went to the bathroom and then into the tub with the cold water, well I soaped her down then I started to rinse her off- she has screamed in the past- I know taht I would scream to if I had cold water running down my legs so I can really blame her- but instead of screaming she starts laughing - LOUD and saying "Mom that tickles, Mom that tickles" Inside I was laughing my head off but I just pulled her out of the tub, dried her off and sent her to her room to get dressed so I could call Trent and share- What am I going to do with this child???

Random Pictures taken in November

Thanksgiving 2008

This year we went to Billings for Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful time and it was really nice to get out of town! We went shooting at the Rod and Gun club that Trent's sister manages. It was really fun to watch Ethan shoot guns. Trent's brother Bart was there and brought a machine gun of sorts-I don't really know what it is was- but I do know that it was a big gun and that it was pretty fun to shoot. I wonder what Milton thought about the experience she didn't move much while we were shooting- she was probably covering her ears- We are so glad that we were about to spend time with family during the Thanksgiving season.

Milton-

Today was our ultrasound to find out what we are having. Many of you did not know that we were even pregnant but now you do :)

I feel like Laramie is very ultrasound happy, they give you an ultrasound on your first appointment and at 20ish weeks. I am 22 weeks this week - so that means that I am more than half way done- YEAH!

This is our first ultrasound

14 weeks

And pictures from our second ultrasound.
She has measured small in both but then Addison was small as well.
22 Weeks
Profile
As 4-d as they can get (I miss my ultrasound pictures from Cedar they were much better!)
4-d profile
Look at those long skinny feet
Funny thing is - is that my next appointment is also an ultrasound appointment - I have never had so many ultrasounds with one pregnancy, but it is fun to see Milton.
Milton and I have been doing pretty good- that is after the Physial Therapist fixed my hips. I have even been able to use a chainsaw for the first time and blocked about a 4 cord of wood during this pregnancy, among other things that my dear friend Meaghan tells me that I should NOT be doing.
Since we told the kids last week they have been very sweet. Ethan will give the baby a hug or rub my belly and Addison will put her hand on my tummy and say "you baby in there"
Let me know if you have any cute girl names :)

Random sleeping positions

Every night I have to check on my children, give them kisses, smell them tell them I love them and say goodnight- again.

It never fails that Ethan is in some strange sleeping position- this is only ONE night- but I never know what I am going to find. I also love that he is completely dead to the world but if I catch him at the right moment he will tell me he loves me - It is moments like these that I will remember forever about my wonderful little man!!!

Carving Pumpkins

I just thought I would share this years pictures of the kids carving pumpkins- It was really fun, Addison would not really pull out the "guts" and Ethan was kinda of certain at first as well- However, Ethan did a great job carving most of his own pumpkin and Addison just thought that her pumpkin was cute- and we that was very cute.

It's Official

Addison is potty trained!!!
I love that she is doing so well. The only time that we put a diaper on her is at night now and most of the time she wakes up dry- Oh Yeah, I love the steps my children make as they grow!!!

Halloween 2008

We were very lucky this year the weather was very nice, making Halloween much more enjoyable! Ethan was a vampire and Addison was a monkey.
Laramie does a really fun downtown trick-or-treat the Saturday before Halloween, so the piles of candy in front of them are just from that- and believe me they got more than enough. The nice thing was that I was able to go through and get the candy I liked and they snacked on the candy until Halloween came then I just dumped it in the candy that we gave out at our Truck or treat - I still ran out about half way through- and I had a lot of candy!
This video is of Ethan chewing gum just after we got home from the downtown party

This video is of Addison licking a peppermint- it was to hot for her but she still wanted to eat it- funny girl.
