Halloween 2012

Princess Kallie

This was the best picture of Vampire Addison

Luigi

All three- they had a blast get so much candy.
I let them eat it crazy for five days then I threw the rest of it away.

Carving Pumpkins

This year a family in our ward invited us over to carve pumpkins with them.  It was a lot of fun and this is what our pumpkins turned out like.  Ethan drew his own scary face.  Addison drew a princess and then Trent cut around it.  And Kallie wanted a cat.

I couldn't choose which one so I put both family pictures.
Every time I went out side Kallie's pumpkin was on its side and I thought that maybe the kids were playing with it or it got knocked over by the wind.  Well I was completely wrong.  First the Cat was gone then the princess was gone.  Kallie was devastated and wanted to carve another pumpkin.  Addison was sad but survived.  How on earth do you explain to a three year old that her cat was a delicious Halloween meal for the Squirrels that live in your tree.  You don't really but I tried :)
And so we learned our lesson: expect your pumpkin to be eaten by squirrels once they are carved!

Chore Charts

One of the achievements Ethan had to accomplish to get his wolf badge in scouts was to have a chore chart (and do it) for a month.  I loved this and thought I would continue making a new chore chart every month so that he is not bored and can learn several different skills. For his first chart he swept the kitchen everyday and he wasn't much of a fan by the end of the month, but this month each day, Monday through Friday  weekends he has off, I have a different chore and he seems to be like it better because I have not heard one complaint.

This month on Wednesdays he cleans the toilet- which he does really well at- I am one of those anal moms and I watch and guide while he is doing it so that we don't have a germ-er toilet that when we started.  I am a germ FREAK.  Well, toward the being of this month Addison requested to clean the toilets the next months because she needs to learn how to do it to-  How funny is that!! (I had to document it :)

After I had made the November chore chart Ethan cornered me and asked if he could be there the next time I make it, which is fine but I thought he probably wants to be there so that he makes sure he doesn't have to do certain things.  As I was washing dishes after dinner he can up to me and said "next month I think I should have dishes one night a week, see mom that is why I need to be there when you make my chore charts."  How can you not have a smile and maybe even a tear in your eye after your son, your eight year old son tells you something like that- LOVE THAT BOY!!!

Falling

Kallie has already fallen off three chairs today and it is just barely noon.  Seriously, this is why I am not surprised when she ALWAYS gets hurt.  Sometimes I think she is the clumsiest kid out there!  Fortunately, she did not get hurt during any of today's falls!!

What kind of bug is this?

Addison and Trent thought it was a very cute bug!!!

Ethan wasn't so sure...

He still wasn't sure about holding that bug.

But of course Addison thought it was just wonderful.  The bug started to climb up her head she didn't mind until she saw me freak out then then she wanted the bug off.

Kallies Second Black Eye- Ouch!!!

You cant really see it in the pictures that well, but Kallie ran into the Corner of the kitchen table and blacked her eye.  We are just glad that it was not the same eye that she hurt in August because she still tells us that the bone under her eye still hurts :(

Addison's Ballet Class

This was Addison just before class started on her first day.

She loves going!  I wish there were different levels taught at the place she takes them at so that she could learn more, I might have to find a different option.  Because she takes classes at a community center, there are several things to keep Ethan and Kallie entertained- which I love!!  Ethan plays video games and Kallie plays with a toy kitchen.  So there are also get benefits with were classes are taught as well!

After a few classes I had her show me what she had learned in ballet, this is what we got:

Lincoln Zoo

Just the four of us went to the Laramie Zoo back in September   Ethan got to go to a Faith in God day camp.  He was bumped we he found out that we would be going to the zoo but the week before he was able to go with his scout group and pick up litter and eat some of the camel food (yuck!)

He we are on the train that goes around the zoo.

The zoo is not very big and we didn't take very many pictures.

But I think this picture is pretty funny- Trent's idea of course.
