Carving Pumpkins

This year a family in our ward invited us over to carve pumpkins with them.  It was a lot of fun and this is what our pumpkins turned out like.  Ethan drew his own scary face.  Addison drew a princess and then Trent cut around it.  And Kallie wanted a cat.

I couldn't choose which one so I put both family pictures.
Every time I went out side Kallie's pumpkin was on its side and I thought that maybe the kids were playing with it or it got knocked over by the wind.  Well I was completely wrong.  First the Cat was gone then the princess was gone.  Kallie was devastated and wanted to carve another pumpkin.  Addison was sad but survived.  How on earth do you explain to a three year old that her cat was a delicious Halloween meal for the Squirrels that live in your tree.  You don't really but I tried :)
And so we learned our lesson: expect your pumpkin to be eaten by squirrels once they are carved!
