Family Pics

A couple sundays back we decided last minute to try and take a few family pics. This is what we ended up with. We were using our tripod so Kallie wasnt sure where she should look. I am not to crazy about the family ones but really like the ones of the kids.

Kallie

7 Months

Here are a few pictures taken in the month of October
Kallie started crawling a week before she turned 8 months, but she was pulling herself on things way before crawling as you can see in the video.

Kallie was LOVING the water bottle this went on for a really long time.

8 Months

Kallie turned 8 months on November 6, a few days after I took her to Trent's work because they have a scale, well she was 19 pounds- no wonder my arms hurt. She wears 12 month shirts and 9-12 month pants and I will be soon in 12 month pants- can you believe it she is going to pass Addison in weight in no time.

Kallie has really loved this chair, we just got now batteries for it and she loves to sit in it.

Halloween 2009

Carving Pumpkins

We had a great time carving pumpkins this year, Ethan and Addison really got into it but Kallie, well she didn't really think it was all that fun.

The best part was that these pumpkins came out of our garden. They had very little seeds and the walls of the pumpkin were extremely thick, so there wasn't much slime maybe that is why the kids got so into it.

We let them draw their own faces on, Ethan had already created his face at school, he carved all of it by himself. For some reason Addison wanted a sad face and well that is what she got.

The pumpkins didn't last very long it snowed on them the night that we carved them.

Costumes

As you can see Trent was a nerd- whats new, Addison was a witch, Ethan was a mummy and I was a graduate- my really wanted to make a Cleopatra costume but my machine was not cooperating and I ran out of time so I settled-
I made both costumes and the kids really seem to like them- I don't know if I want to do homemade again next year - I will just have to wait and see what is going on.
It snowed at least 6 inches the night before Halloween leaving the day very cold! But we still went to trunk-or-treat. The whole thing lasted about a half hour and they had more than enough candy. But Ethan really wanted to go to the down town trick-or-treating so we thought if it is sunny we will go, we did end up going and both Ethan and Addsion loved it. It was so wonderful this year, I loved how much they were into Halloween and how they could trick-or-treat by themselves.

Random pictures from August

Hail Storm

The middle of August we got a hail storm- nothing new to us- the same thing happened last year, which ruined our garden, all except what was in the green house, but the plastic was shredded :( The kids really enjoyed playing with the hail. Addison thought it was snow. I totally laugh at the outfits- do you think Addison hat is really keeping her head warm?

Brother and Sister

I just love this picture- I think that it will be a great blackmail picture when the get older.

Ear Sucking

I think this picture is hilarious!~ Trent was giving Kallie a ride and the next this he knew Kallies latched onto his ear- we laughed and laughed- Such a funny girl.
Sour Cream
Trent and I LOVE sour cream. Ethan wont eat it. But Addison as you can see also LOVEs the the stuff. She always wants to lick the foil when you open a new container. But in our family we only buy Daisy- we just love the cream texture- yummmmmm.

6 Months

Kallie turned 6 months on September 6- even though that was about a month ago I still want to document it. And hopefully I will be better and keeping up to date.

Her 6 month appointment stats are:

Weight: 16 lbs 15 oz (no wonder i am so strong- he he)

Height: 27.5 Inches- the 95th percentile- no wonder those 9-12 month pants fit.

When she got her shots she cried for 4- yes I said 4 hours straight. Side note- her cry is a scream bloodily murder kind of cry- it is not pleasant, the kids and I sometimes have to cover our ears in hopes of "dealing" with it, because sometimes you just cant make her happy. You would think that she would have been tired and horse after 1 hour- at the time I thought it would NEVER end.

She got her first real temperature just after turning 6 months. It spiked to 104.3 when I talked to the doctor she told me not to worry until the temp gets to 105- WHAT???? Turns out she was just fine she ended up having Roseola. This happened just before the previous mentioned Dr appointment so I knew that it was not a reaction to the immunizations.

Kallie loves to babble, and does it all the time.

Her latest is blowing air in and out of her nose as she scrunches her nose, it is so CUTE and I love to do it back to her- which only encourages her to do it more.

She loves those feet of hers, and will quickly roll over to her back if placed on her tummy, just plays with her feet.

I have to be in the same room with her or she will "cry" - yes the kind of cry that I mentioned above, so I try to keep her close by most of the time.

Just with in the last week Trent and I have been putting her up on all four in hopes to build her arm muscles- I think I am ready for her to be mobile- it will make her much happy and a Happy Baby is a Happy Family :)

Bloopers:

Who knows what Ethan is doing?

Honestly-
I truly have a mini Trent on my hands-what to do?

I have a Kindergartner

Ethan was a little nervous on his first day of school, but very excited.

I have to be to work by 8:00 and school doesn't start until 8:20 so he hung around with me until school started. He knows several kids in his class from preschool and church so I think that helped to ease his nerves.

When I picked him up the first day he was so excited and ready for the next day- Yeah!!

The other day Ethan's was complaining about his neck hurting at breakfast. Trent told him that he probably slept on it wrong. Ethan replied with "no it hurt yesterday to." And Trent said "well then you must have sleep on it wrong the night before too". Ethan said "no, my neck hurts because I have to hold my neck like this to do math" and he looks down. that darn math. When I ask Ethan what they did at school he says "I don't know I have to much math going around in my head" I am starting to wonder if math is not going to be one of his best subjects.

Addison's Birthday

Addison's birthday snuck up on me this year. The day before her birthday I started my new job as the paraprofessional (assistant) teacher for Addison preschool class. So I was pretty busy getting new hire stuff done- then I realized oh yeah I need to get Addison's birthday "stuff," like cake , ice cream, balloons, etc. I already had her gifts, so i guess that is why I wasn't to worried. But I totally cheated on the cake and just got cupcakes it worked just fine.

She had a blast opening presents this year.

Here she is dressed up in her dancing clothes,

as she calls them.

She bit down on Trent's finger really hard when he asked her to lick the icing off her finger.

She didn't eat her cupcake at all, but she did lick off ALL the icing. Funny Girl!
Addison has been such a great addition to our family. She loves to care for others, help in the kitchen, sing, dance, and following Ethan around. Sometimes I think she is 3 going on 16 with some of the things she does. Thanks for all of the laughs , we love you very much Addison!
Kallie was just happy to be sitting up. She is so happy- most of the time :)

Wood gathering

Well we are now true Wyomingites. We bought a truck it is a 1995, not in the best shape,
but we can go get wood- YEAH. Trent and I had been considering buying a truck so that we could be more self sufficient and not have to barrow all the time. We got a pretty good deal and have already gotten 2 cords of wood with it. I has felt so good not to have to rely on others.

Ethan climbed this tree on our first family wood gathering expedition.

He climbed pretty high and was so proud of himself.

On the way home he fell asleep- what an awkward way to use the seat belt strap- but it worked.

Trip to Logan

One of Trent's life time friends got married on Aug 8. So we thought it would be good to go and support him. While there we went boating with the Hansens. (we stayed at the Hansen Bed and Breakfast, good place they are very welcoming and tend to your every need, my kids loved it as did I- thanks again guys)

Nick's Wedding
Nick and Andrea
Trent and Nick
They had the wedding in a person back yard the house was beautiful, it is a second home the family currently lives back east and the children stay at the house while going to collage. It was a small wedding, but sweet. It was at the wedding that Ethan was offered his first drink of alcohol. A couple of the boys about 10-12 years old got a hold of a few bottles of beer (it was EVERYWHERE so I am sure it wasn't that hard). Well, Ethan was walking around and I guess he stumbled upon them and they told him he could have a drink. In his words " they told me I could have a drink of beer" I am not sure Ethan really knew what was in the bottles, but he said no anyways. As he told us on our way home we were shocked but proud and used it as a teaching moment.

Nick got married extremely close to the Bountiful temple where Trent and I got married so we decided that we would stop by on the way back to Logan and take a picture. As of Aug 3rd we have been married for 7 years. Wow- time flies. It is fun to look back at all of the fun times and hard times that we have shared. We now have three beautiful children. I feel like we have accomplished so much together being married has been everything and nothing that I thought it would be. We have has a great 7 years together with many more to follow.

Ethan took this picture of us.
