10 Essy things that you can do with your children...

Most of these are messy up with easy clean up and I can pretty much guarantee that your children will have a blast. 1. Watercolor- make sure that you have lots of paper on hand and I suggest doing in on the kitchen table. 2. Glue "stuff "- like dry noodles, pieces of paper, rocks, be creative, and so will your child. 3. Play with shaving cream- you can either do this in the bathtub (even easier clean up) or on the kitchen table let them swirl it all around- this is also a great way to learn what two color make when they are mixed. This helps your child experience new textures. 4. Stickers- stickers are always fun to put on a piece of paper- this also helps with fine motor skills 5. Finger paint- you can use acrylic paint, ketchup and mustard, or pudding. This helps your child experience new textures. 6. Leaf rubbings- Tape leaves to the table. Use and piece of paper and crayon and rum it on top of the leaf - this also helps with fine motor skills. 7. Rock hunt- Find the rocks and then Paint them. don't be surprised if the rocks hang around for a while. 8. Play dough- Make the play dough and then let them go crazy. If you make it them you can do the primary colors and they can mix the colors- learning once again- How fun!! 9. Stamps- make stamps out of potatoes then stamp with them. Mom's you make the stamps. Even a one year old will enjoy stamping. 10. Marshmallows and toothpicks- Give your child a hand full of marshmallows and toothpicks and ask them to build a house. After the marshmallows sit out overnight they with get hard. Ethan loves to do this. And he is learning while he does it- I hope that you all enjoy these- please let me know how they go-

...not that you can do this in West Laramie, but you kind of have sidewalks...My mom used to give us cups of water and watercolor paint brushes and let us "paint" with water on the sidewalks. It dries and then you can paint again. AND NO CLEAN UP. But you might have to wait until the snow melts...just an idea.
