Did we grow a Garden???

Well we tried, but we did not reap much of a harvest- at least not as much as I had hoped for- I guess when I say that I really mean I was not able to enjoy not even one freshly ripe tomato- GRRRR. However, I was able to freeze 12 cups of corn - yeah! And now we have really cool corn stocks that we can use to decorate with for Halloween. I made several jalapeno poppers - they turned out surprisingly well. We have lots of lettuce, onions, garlic and parsley. We have dug up our potatoes yet- We got about 15-20 bell peppers- I didn't count them all. I have to say that they were the best plant- the funny thing is that I don't like green peppers, so I cut them cut to put in salsa, some day. This is the largest zucchini that we got- as you can see after the hail storm it didn't look to appetizing- we get two more but the were about 3 inches long- I thought these things were suppose grow like crazy so that you could share with your neighbors- not in our case. But this is my favorite, we planted a entire package of carrots- and how many came up- four. These are the best pictures ever, if you look closely you can see that one is three-n-one- very cool!

looks like a great garden. You'll have to teach me how you make jalapeno poppers. I LOVE THEM!

Sorry to hear that your garden was not what you wanted it to be, but look at it this way, at least you have more then you would of and you will be greatly blessed for you efforts. Love the pictures, it looked like your little ones enjoyed your garden.

Harvesting is the best no matter how much you harvest.

Gardens are great,
let's celebrate!!
Ha cute little poem for you. IT's funny how excited we get about our garden, but now that it is sept. I'm getting tired of watering it. IT is odd how we wish we could have the garden all year long, but I wouldn't want the chore of taking care of it that long. If only a garden fairy could do the work and let me enjoy the efforts without doing a thing. Hehee.
THe lovely deer out back have eaten my tomatoes. And they are my favorite. AUGH!
