Loser

So, today was first time I had to wash my child's mouth out with soap.

Some of you may think that I am harsh but I dont think time out would made my point and I really wanted to make a point. After all he is not the first child to have this done.
Ethan called Addison a loser so I told him to meet me in the bathroom-
Once we got there I told him to stick out his tongue and I rubbed a bar of soap on it-
it didn't even faze him, I went on to tell him that the word loser is a dirty word and when he says things like that his mouth gets dirty so we need to clean it out. then I told him it was time to rinse his mouth- and he started to hum as he rinsed- I responded with "this is not funny" so he stopped humming. Well I hope that I got the point across. He never even shed a tear.

Then about 15 minutes later he waled up to me and told me that the soap tasted like sugar- are you kidding me. Time will tell whether or not he learned his lesson.

K, Valerie I am laughing so hard. I hate times like that when I am trying to teach Lindsay something and be somewhat mean and it doesn't come across that way. Good luck!

Good ol'Ethan, I think he has too much of his father in him. Does Trent think soap tastes like sugar? Ha. Isn't being a mommy so much fun.

Children, that is all I can say! Hope it works for you. It sounds like it was harder for you to wash his mouth out, then it was for him. I hate that!
