She was tiring to jump across the room to her sisters bed- she barely missed and landed on the ground. She was crying pretty good but then anyone that knows Kallie knows that when she cries it is always LOUD and DRAMATIC so I didn't really think anything of her cry so I told her that if she needed me she would have to come get me (I was in the middle of cutting my friends hair). Well Addison decided that she would drag her sister to her unconcerned mom. I stopped cutting hair and was thinking really what could be so wrong. I finally convinced her to walk to me and she screamed and limped to me. My friend convinced me to take her to urgent care. On the way there she fell asleep and slept through the Doctor examining her foot.
We then went to the x-ray room and I placed her on the table hoping that she would continue to sleep- Wrong- they would not let me stay with her because they said that they could not take the chance of me being pregnant- even though I strongly stated that I know for certain that I was not- If you know what I mean. The entire building could hear her screaming- I felt horrible. The doctor was not certain if it was really broke so he had me call the next day after the xray person took a look.
Sure enough we had to go to a bone doctor and get a cast- she only had to wear it for 10 days but she is two. We also had swimming lessons for Ethan that week. By the end of the 10 days she had wore a hole in the bottom of the cast- and a few hole in the bottom of socks to keep the dirt out, but I do have to say that is was not nearly as dirty as I thought it was going to be.
Just before we got the cast taken off.
The hole in the bottom of the cast
If you look really close as the two toes between the two that has purple nail polish you will see that the toe nails are missing- yes, that is right, her foot got stuck under a door as she insisted that she open by her self at the rec center (where the swimming lessons are). I think the entire building heard her cry that time as well.
I had just checked in with the receptionist to get her cast off.
Waiting in the waiting room- she was pretty nervous. It was torture getting the cast on- once again I am pretty sure that the whole building heard her screaming when she got it on. I was holding her on top of me face to face as we were both laying down she the Doctor could bend her knee so her foot would be up in the air- I was covered in tears and saliva by the end :)
Ethan was the camera man because I was holding Kallie while they cut her cast- surprisingly she did really well.
The nurse said that I could keep the cast. The kids were all really excited to keep it but I just took a picture of it and put it in the garbage before they could play with it.
Kallie refer back to her cast often. She really liked her cast by the end of the 10 days and still likes to talk about when she had a cast.

Oh my goodness! What a crazy month. Hope that Kallie feels better soon. The question is has she tried to jump off the dresser since she got the cast off?
